The fashion label Akris just launched their very first handbag collection and the face to prove it is Daphne Guinness. Unrecognizable in a black wig, the ad is sexy and really what high fashion is all about. Shot in Black, white and grey makes the lines and shapes in this ad really pop! Of course it was shot by Stephen Klein, one of the most talented photographers of our time.

When I was recently in Brooklyn(my first time ever, and definitely not my last), I ran into a wonderful boutique called Lee Lee's Valise at 368 Court St. The perfect setting in the most perfect neighbourhood. It was like I had found a gold mine. The accessories, the clothing, and the handbags were girly, one of a kind and fabulous! The boutique specializes in sizes 10-28 in every budget range for every lifestyle of every real woman. I had been looking everywhere for that special, one of a kind handbag in NYC. Running out of time and wondering the streets, I bumped into this store. I saw and purchased a beautiful, messenger style, black textured, leather bag with gold hardware and zippers, edgy and cool in a one of a kind way. I was so excited! To my surprise, the bag was made in Canada, specifically in Montreal by a company called Miss Mak. Unique and exceptional leather goods with interesting details that are rare and whimsical.
