Trash The Dress

Yesterday, one of my very dear clients came in for her Eyebrow Design appointment. In our conversation, she told me she got engaged during the holidays. We were talking about Wedding Dresses and then she mentioned something she planned on doing after her Wedding called 'Trash The Dress'. In all my years servicing Brides, I had no idea what she was talking about. When she went into more detail, I was fascinated by the idea of trashing your Wedding Dress after you get married. Preferably in the water by sea, lake, pool or ocean. It seems liberating! I don't think that its for every Bride out there. But its a fairly new tradition, also called the Fearless Bride or Rock Her Frock. I am not a bride to be and I have never been married, but the idea of this is crazy to me! Here are some beautiful images that represent this event...

  3. Wow coincidentally this was on the news the other day here in Spain, such a bizarre concept but seems fun to try (when the time comes) hehe.

  4. Nice pictures for sure...but the idea sounds
" bonkers " if you ask me...I can't imagine spending a ton of dosh on a dress and after the wedding tossing it into the great big blue! ..may be liberating for a divorce..lol..but not marriage...again, this is only my opinion..i'm sure i'm not alone in this thought..but hell...if you got money to burn..enjoy!

  5. I like these pictures, although I could probably never do that to my wedding dress if I had one!

  6. I would never have the heart to trash a wedding dress. Unless, of course, the marriage ended in divorce, then...actually, no; I still wouldn't be able to do it! :)

  9. Magical pictures. I would never do that, but I definitely can recycle the dress to something more wearable. Excellent blog. I'll be back! :)
