These images are so cool! A big trend right now is Black In Black. Black eyeliner , black nail polish and black eyeshadow. Vampire inspired and mysterious. Sexy and edgy! So perfect for Fall!

Soft Like A Dove
This is by far my most favorite, can't live without product for my hair. I have tried every mousse out there. Expensive brands and inexpensive. I always return to Dove Mousse for it's consistency and its wonderful soft hold. Helps with controlling frizz and non stickiness or crunchy finish. I have recommended this product to many woman who have full, thick inconsistent curl/wave, and the feedback has been amazing. For finer hair that craves body, volume and needs a lift. There is a type made for every hair. There are three types to choose from: Curl & Sculpt, Body & Lift, and Shape & Definition(My favorite). Weightless and leaves hair soft as if you have no product in your hair. Leaves behind beautiful, controlled hair with shine and softness.

"The Sock Man" NYC
I found this to be very funny. Marty Rosen owns a shop called "The Sock Man" on St. Marks Place in Manhattan. This place sells every imaginable type of socks, tights, leggings you have ever seen. Everything is crammed in with hundreds of different options. Apparently the owner is a very grumpy man. The service is not so nice labeling him as "The Sock Nazi". Next time I am in NYC, I must check out this place. I am sure it will be entertaining...

Montreal Beauties
I just did a show in Montreal on the weekend and had a blast. Long days, little sleep and lots of beauty. The models in Montreal were lovely and sweet. A great show can never be great without the models. These girls were exceptional and open to helping out in whatever it took to help get the creative message out there. A lot of heavy lining, sitting still and patience. These looks are reflective of some of the trends we are seeing right now in makeup. Big bold precise lips, defining the bow, a welcome back to the 1920's(Clara Bow). Eyes drenched in heavy black eyeliner and eyeshadow carried all the way up into the eyebrow, a throw back to the very big 1980's trend today. These are some pics I took on my i phone...

The Perfect Riding Boot
Sometimes it's hard to find the perfect riding boot for Fall. One with clean lines and with little embellishments. Understated that goes with everything. I personally love this flat boot. I work on my feet all day, so it's important I have comfort with a lot of style. Billy Reid has launched The Perfect Riding Boot for his Holiday 2009 Collection. Calling it a basic need in any woman's wardrobe. Like the basic t-shirt. I love these boots and can see myself in them. The kind of boot that will look better with age. The black boot is fantastic but my favorite is the Cordovon Brown...

Signature Skin
When I wear makeup, I wear it with pride. I spend about 15 minutes in the morning, without a single complaint. I am in the Beauty Industry, so that attention to detail, which is so pleasurable to me, is necessary. One of the things that I personally can't live without and completes my look is MAC Silver Dusk Powder. I have been wearing this product since the mid-1990's. It's a finely grind powder that releases very fine shimmer. I place it on my cheeks and cheek bones, on eyes and carry it down to my decollete. Without this, my makeup looks incomplete. The other product is Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer. This product was introduced to me a few years ago by a major makeup junkie friend of mine. I add a drop of this into my foundation and mix. This product really lights up the skin. I call this look Signature Skin. No matter what I choose to do with my makeup, how my skin looks is top priority. It's the constant compliment I get about the way I look. And it's the one question often asked by friends and clients. "How do you get your skin to look like that?", " What do you use?" I try to teach women that if your skin looks great, everything else falls into place. These two products are my top favorite skin enhancers that I promise will give you that Signature Skin...MAC Silver Dusk PowderGiorgio Armani Luminous Sheer

Lucky Me!
On my way to work today to beautify the many women that trust and believe in me. My work doesn't feel like a job. I mostly feel like I am gathering with a bunch of girlfriends, catching up on gossip, their love lives, and sometimes, challenging times. These women are inspirational, funny and passionate. I listen and comfort, without judgement, with my hands. I am so lucky to have a job where I can truly be myself and feel total fulfillment with each and every visit. I work with pride and the urgency to treat and help every woman with dignity and my undivided attention. Many people out there dislike their jobs and I really feel sad about that. When I decided to become a makeup artist, it was more for the love of beauty and makeup for myself. After 15 years in the industry, I feel that the most important part of my job is giving love with the words I say, how my hands touch their faces, and to give full respect to the women. On a bad days, I try to remember that I am blessed to have the opportunity to help women. Most good days, I do it without any effort and know that I am privileged. Lucky Me!

Statement Necklace "SATC" 2
I love the Statement Necklace that Sarah Jessica Parker wears in the "Sex And The City 2" movie. You can count on her to showcase fresh and new ideas when it comes to what to wear. Thanks to Stylist Patricia Field, who's creative juices are the reason why I keep holding on to "SATC". The Clover Necklace is by Solange Azagury-Partridge.

Santa Maria Novella "Melograno"
One of my favorite perfumes of all time is by Santa Maria Novella "Acqua Di Colonia Melograno"(Pomegranate). Started by monks, Santa Maria Novella aromas and ancient recipes date back to 16th century Florence, Italy. Many Kings and Queens adorned themselves in these decadent perfumes. "Melograno", the fruit of the pomegranate plant, symbolizes wealth and abundance. It mixes the tart taste of the pomegranate with a beautiful powdery floral undertone. I wear this perfume day or night since it has a wonderful combination of both soft and strong.

Surrender The Pink
As the season starts to get cooler and Fall is literally around the corner, I always switch up my cheek colour. All summer long I have been basking in peachy, bronze colours. It's time to surrender to soft pink. It's a nice transition into Fall without feeling like you are overpowered by colour. A soft pink cheek is easy to wear and really emulates what the skin would blush around this time of year. Looking more porcelain and cooler for the season. I recommend...

Perfume Bottle Dresses
Raised in Athens, Greece, Mary Katrantzou's Debut runway 2009 Collection is regal and oh so beautiful! These dresses are called 'Perfume Bottle Dresses'. Some of the inspirations are from iconic perfume bottles, such as, Shalimar, Givenchy and Gaultier, while others are vintage. Other inspiration came partly from the way perfume bottles were designed to the female form in their packaging. These dresses are Abstract and a little bit futuristic, it will be interesting to see what else this designer has up her sleeve...

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2009
I love Salvatore Ferragamo's latest Fall 2009 ad campaign featuring my favorite model Mariacarla Boscono. Also in the ads are Eva Herzigova and Italian dancer Roberto Bolle. The colours, the slicked back hair, the red lips, the accessories, the coats, and the crisp, Fall background get me excited for the new season. Photos by Mario Testino.
