The Best of Beauty for me in 2009 was the very powerful return of Francois Nars. With his return to backstage beauty for Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Collection for Fashion Week, he has changed and elevated the beauty world. Nars has not done a show for more than ten years. His return is very inspiring and much needed. I have always had a profound respect for this Artist but I now have a much stronger respect! He is such a MAJOR Industry Leader! And he is the only man I think of when I need an orgasm...LOL! These are a few images that show his talent and genius ideas in beauty...XO

The All Races, All Ages, All Sexes collection by MAC is a very special one. Representing what MAC stood for from the very beginning of their birth. I remember learning about MAC in the very early 90's and was intrigued for what they stood for. Especially the images released with every collection. They were different and made you think. I had never come across a makeup line that was made for every man and woman, regardless of ethnicity. The image above says so much to me and will help support the new collection available February 6th, 2010

Carmen Boni was born 1901 in Rome and had a career in the Italian Cinema in the mid-1920s and onwards. Many successful films were made by Carmen Boni and she became the European equivalent to Clara Bow. A gift for acting, she had an ability to transform herself with a natural comedic ease and then back to serious emotion. Ahead of her time, she was admired for her modern type of beauty. She died tragically in 1963 in Paris by a reckless driver.

Nothing is more Festive and Holiday than an Orange-Red lip. The color is optimistic and vintage. A lot softer and more wearable than some of the other reds in trend. I know that these are looks from the Spring 2010 runways shows but I thought them to be very appropriate for this time of year. Happy Holidays...xoLancome Color In Fever

Yesterday, as I was browsing at the department store, I came across Amrita Singh's collection of bangles called Bangle Bangle. The most perfect and exquisite jewelry I have ever come across with a very decent price point. These gorgeous stackable bangles fit so well and hug your wrist with comfort like no other. Although Amrita Singh has a large collection of accessories: Earrings, necklaces, rings, etc., it's her talent with her Bangle Collection that really stands out! www.shopamritasingh.com

This is such a treat! Benefit has put together a collection of their 3 greatest powders called Powderazzi. Coralista, Hoola and Dallas are pretty blushes and bronzers to give you that glow within look and feel. This wonderful collaboration retails at $30. I think it would make a great gift for that Benefit or Beauty Lover...

So how are you doing with your year-long resurrection project, Cancerian? Have you been taking care of the finishing touches these past few weeks? If not, do so soon. It's high time for you to officially and definitively rise from the dead. Your wandering in the underworld is at an end. Your mourning for broken dreams should be complete. In January, the age of exploration will begin; make sure your reborn spunk is ready for action by then.

Pairing these two together is very interesting to me. Although I am not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, I absolutely love Cyndi Lauper! And I am a huge fan of this cause and any celebrity that gets involved. The two together make a beautiful and powerful statement. They are the newest faces of MAC Aids Fund Campaign for Spring 2010 photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. The pair will have their own lipstick collection called 'From Our Lips' named Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Glam Cyndi. The collection will be available in late February 2010.

The fashion label Akris just launched their very first handbag collection and the face to prove it is Daphne Guinness. Unrecognizable in a black wig, the ad is sexy and really what high fashion is all about. Shot in Black, white and grey makes the lines and shapes in this ad really pop! Of course it was shot by Stephen Klein, one of the most talented photographers of our time.

Madonna steps out to support Tom Ford's directorial debut to a special screening of his new movie "A Single Man" at NYC's MOMA. Madonna is wearing an Ink Blue Murmasky fur coat by Ferragamo.

She paints her face to hide her face. Her eyes are deep water. It is not for Geisha to want. It is not for Geisha to feel. Geisha is an artist of the floating world. She dances, she sings. She entertains you, whatever you want. The rest is shadows, the rest is secret.

I love these very sexy images for the latest ad campaign with designer Sonia Rykiel and her partnership with H&M. Beautiful, flirty, and seductive lingerie. The collection is available December 5th at an H&M near you. The creative styling of this shoot is soft, feminine and romantic. The Hair and makeup, absolutely perfect!
